Creek no 1 (Sector 42 & 43 Gurugram) - 2.25 km length, 17 acres, Creek no 4 (Sector 55,56,57) - 3.5km length, 52 acres with intervention of stormwater management, rainwater harvesting, water recharge pits, solid waste management system, native flora plantation, use of primarily construction & demolition (C&D) waste, repurposed into landscaping elements such as seaters, steps, fences , earth filling and other civil works - the approach has been to conserve resources, lower the carbon footprint, reuse and repurpose material, groundwater replenishment, surface water management and creating a green biodiversity rich corridor. The corridors also serve as pedestrian mobility corridors across large lengths of Gurugram, serving not just the neighborhoods abutting the new green spines but also the underprivileged and informal workers who predominantly use pedestrian paths for their livelihoods.
