About Sehreeti

Sehreeti Developmental Practices Foundation, established in 2017, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a deep connection between individuals and their surroundings. The name "sehreeti" is derived from two words: "seh," meaning together or collective, and "reeti," signifying practices. Sehreeti embodies a collaborative approach, emphasizing the involvement and contribution of all stakeholders in forging sustainable and inclusive development.

Design & Planning

Sehreeti fosters inclusive and sustainable development through collaborative design and meticulous planning. We specialize in Placemaking, Site Planning, Eco-Restoration/Design, Landscaping, Urban Art, and creating safe, inclusive streets and places. Our projects prioritize community input, environmental stewardship, and social equity, ensuring vibrant and functional spaces that reflect the unique needs and aspirations of the people they serve.

Research &
Dissemination

Research lies at the heart of Sehreeti's approach to development. We specialize in Participatory Research, Action Research, Habitat Studies, Skills, and Jobs, focusing on topics like Nature-Based Solutions, conditions of construction workers, Citizen Science, and more. Our strategic dissemination of findings influences policies and practices, driving positive change at national and international levels.

Awareness, Outreach & Advocacy

At Sehreeti, we harness the power of art and multiple media for outreach and advocacy. From Radio Programs to Placemaking Installations, we use diverse platforms to raise awareness about pressing issues in sustainable development. Through proactive outreach, we encourage Community Participation and Stakeholder Engagement, amplifying the voices of marginalized communities and neglected issues, and advocating for policies promoting safeguarding the environment and social justice.

Skills & Education

Sehreeti equips individuals with essential skills for sustainable development through diverse training programs. From Green Skills and Environmental Awareness to Eco-Tourism and Heritage Preservation, our initiatives cover a wide spectrum. We offer specialized Teacher Training, engaging Workshops, and captivating Nature Walks for children.
